The Psychology Associate II will assist Psychologist in providing clinical services, supervision and case management for in/outpatient cases as specified by the Director of the inpatient service, outpatient clinic, or Department Head. This professional will collaborate with department staff/supervisors and other KKI departments as needed. The incumbent will participate in hiring, supervising and the evaluating of Behavioral Psychology staff as well as participate in programs of systematic research.

The Recreational Activities Aide assists staff in the implementation of developmentally appropriate play activities and manage behavior. The position’s role is to work as part of a team to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and positive play environment for the patients in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program playrooms.

The Recreational Activities Staff II (Behavioral) plans and implements behaviorally oriented and developmentally appropriate activities which support the patient during the Feeding Program Admission.  The Recreational Activities Staff II is responsible for providing observation, assessment, and programming for patients, and relevant caregivers training during the admission to the Feeding Program.

The Recreational Therapy Assistant for the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress (CCFTS) is responsible for assisting in implementing a recreational therapy program for children seen at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.

The Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) is a unique, 16- bed unit dedicated to the assessment and treatment of children and young adults with severe, treatment-resistant behavioral disorders. The NBU serves patients with a variety of diagnoses, including: autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, intellectual disability, sleep disorders, seizure disorders, feeding disorders, stereotypic movement disorder with self-injurious behavior, and various genetic, metabolic and chromosomal disorders. The Rehabilitation Technician will transfer and transport patients and provide patient care under direct supervision of a clinician within the policies and procedures of KKI and the departmental program and in accordance with Laws and Regulations of the State of Maryland. The Rehabilitation Technician will assist clinical staff in the provision of patient care programs and perform supportive tasks, including those serving the administrative, maintenance and operational needs of the program. The Rehabilitation Technician will be proficient in at least one area of concentration, which is meaningful and of value to the department.

The Research Assistant in the Comi Lab will perform maintenance and differentiation of cell lines, assist with maintenance of a mouse colony, and carry out routine laboratory experiment.

The Research Assistant I assists and collaborates with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research collaborators in reaching research goals in the Center for Neurodevelopmental and Imaging Research (CNIR). This position will assist with processing and analyzing neuroimaging (including structural, DTI, and fMRI data) and behavioral data (including the development of processing pipelines), code videos of motor performance tasks, and work directly with participants in the collection of MRI, TMS, and EEG data. Additionally, the Research Assistant I will have the opportunity to present at scientific conferences as well as contribute to and lead author manuscripts.
