Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Research Administration and Compliance Kennedy Krieger Institute, Baltimore, MD   Kennedy Krieger Institute, located in downtown Baltimore, is the world’s premier institution dedicated to transforming the lives of children and adults with neurological, developmental and rehabilitative disorders through groundbreaking research, innovative treatments, and life-changing education.   We are seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Research Administration and Compliance to manage the oversight of all administrative activities related to research, including but not limited to sponsored projects contracting ( federal and non-federal awards), clinical trials compliance, human research protections, animal care and use, conflicts of interest and scientific misconduct.   The successful candidate will lead a staff of 20+ experienced research administration and compliance professionals. Currently organized into two offices responsible for all aspects of pre-award and post-award administration and a third office responsible for human subjects protection and other research compliance functions, the Research Administration Division is a critical component of the Kennedy Krieger mission. The new AVP will have a significant impact on the Division’s growth and be a valued member of the Kennedy Krieger team.   The AVP is expected to keep a flexible schedule combining onsite and remote work.   Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of research administration, regulatory, or compliance-related experience, including in a leadership role, at a hospital, university, or other research institution required. Experience with or knowledge in several areas of research administration and compliance, including the conduct and administration of clinical trials, sponsored projects administration, conflicts of interest compliance, human participant research, and other research management and compliance areas is required. The Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, is the world's premier healthcare organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with pediatric developmental disabilities and disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system.   The Department of Family and Community Interventions is one of the largest outpatient departments at the Institute and consists of two programs: the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress (currently a funded Category II site in the National Child Traumatic Stress Network) and Therapeutic Foster Care.
