The Director of CARD Speech-Language Pathology Outpatient Clinics and Achievements is responsible for the operation of clinical, administrative, training and research, and program development activities within the Center for Autism & Related Disorders (CARD) Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Outpatient Clinics and Achievements programs. The incumbent will work with the CARD SLP managers to maintain responsibility for daily operations, implementing, coordinating and supervising the clinical service aspects of the department’s SLP Outpatient Clinics and Achievements programs across all locations. The incumbent will coordinate with the managers and senior SLP staff in establishing and implementing CARD SLP program policies, procedures, standards, and goals; consult and act as a liaison within CARD and externally. This position will collaborate and coordinate with the Speech-Language Pathology discipline director related to leveraging knowledge across the Institute. The incumbent will provide direct patient care by assessing and treating children with communication (i.e., speech/language) and oral motor disorders.
The Speech Language Pathologist I will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e., speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders: administering department and program functions; supervising maintaining documentation relative to services offered: and participation in intra and interdisciplinary training programs. This assignment provides temporary, intermittent employment opportunities to supplement the Clinical Fellow training experience.

SPEECH & LANGUAGE I (School-Based – High School)

We are seeking a Maryland licensed, certified speech-language pathologist to provide direct and consultative services to students in our non-public school programs. SLPs at the High School work with and support high school students as they access their educational program and work to earn diplomas or certificates of completion. Speech and language services and skills can be addressed in contexts including academic, vocational, and social settings at the High School.The ideal SLP candidate is collaborative, organized, curious and hardworking. We are seeking SLPs who approach their work in an evidence-based, student-centered manner. While prior clinical experience and knowledge about developmental disabilities and the IEP process are preferred, candidates who are eager to learn will be considered. New School Campus and Program. $2500 Sign-On Incentive
The SLP-I will provide speech and language services to a varied population of students in a full day non-public setting or public-private partnership setting. The SLP-I will implement and document the services as outlined in the IEP of each student, addressing the needs of students, their families, and any impact the student’s speech and language disability has on his/her ability to derive educational benefit; maintain records to comply with specified standards; and participate in intra- and interdisciplinary training and meetings.

The Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) will assist a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) in providing treatment services to a varied population of patients. Under supervision of a certified, licensed SLP, this professional will implement a treatment program developed by the SLP, document results of the services offered as outlined in the treatment plans for each patient, maintain records to comply with specified standards, and support programmatic speech-language needs for clinical or clinical research needs. In doing so, the incumbent will assist the SLP in addressing the needs of patients, their families, and any impact the patient’s speech and language disability has on his/her functional abilities. With supervision, the SLP-A will participate in intra- and interdisciplinary meetings and training.
$2500 Sign-On Bonus with Language Proficiency Differential
The Speech Language Pathologist II (Bilingual-Arabic) will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e. speech/language) and oral motor disorders: administering department and program functions; may supervise graduate students and Clinical Fellows; maintaining documentation relative to services offered; and participating in intra- and interdisciplinary training programs.This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Arabic with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus

This is a split position for Inpatient and Day Feeding 50% split with Outpatient 50%
