The Child Development Teacher (Bilingual-Spanish) will be primarily responsible for teaching and providing high quality childcare while parents engage in meaningful activities at the Early Head Start (EHS) center. This staff member will plan and present accurate and engaging lessons to enrolled children. The position is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable childcare space that is conducive to quality parent/child interactions and exceptional educational experiences. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institute’s minimum standards.
The Child Care Aide I works under the immediate direction of the Child Care Teacher in the child care center providing child care and completing related tasks. The incumbent functions as a team member in providing total care of the children enrolled at World of Care.
Must be able to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM based on the needs of the center
The Child Care Teacher I is responsible for providing care for all aspects of their assigned age group and works as a team leader when the Child Care Teacher II is unavailable by supervising the implementation of the daily curriculum to assure that all accreditation and state licensing standards are being met. The Child Care Teacher I is responsible for ensuring that all parent, child and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed.
This positions works Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM depending upon the needs of the center.
PACT’s World of Care specialized child care center is designed to meet the individual needs of children who have medical conditions requiring daily nursing care and children with developmental disabilities who require multiple therapies (physical, occupational, or speech/language).
While we accept typically developing children, priority for admission is given to children who are medically fragile or developmentally delayed or disabled.
World of Care is accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education and licensed by the Maryland Office of Child Care Administration.
The Child Care Teacher II oversees all aspects of their assigned age group and works as a team lead by mentoring other child care staff and supervising daily curriculum implementation to assure that all state and national accreditation and state licensing standards are met. The Child Care Teacher II ensures that all parent, child and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed and facilitates interdisciplinary team collaboration. Works Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM depending upon the needs of the center.
