This position is 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pp in 801, 1741 (CASSI), and Columbia.

The Pediatric Rehabilitation/Feeding Unit provides 24-hour medical, nursing, respiratory and intensive therapy services.The Neurorehabilitation program treats patients ranging from infants to young adults with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders,recovering from orthopedic surgery, and complex medical conditions.
This position is 40 hours per week, working 2 evening shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm) and 2 nightshifts (7:00pm-7:30am) every week including every other weekend.

The Occupational Therapist I provides center- and/or home-based therapy and parent training to assist in the development of fine motor, oral motor, and adaptive living skills for children with developmental disabilities and their families. In addition, the Occupational Therapist I assists the family with the coordination of all community services (e.g., school, medical, social, etc.). The Occupational Therapist I is also responsible for providing consultation to other team members, as needed.
Will consider less experienced OTs that have exposure to the birth to 5 experience.
The Occupational Therapist II will perform home, community, and center-based therapy for the birth to 5 population in the Child and Family Support Program. The Child and Family Support Center offers a supportive, dynamic multi disciplinary environment that fosters collaboration and professional growth. The Occupational Therapist II will provide child and family centered therapy, caregiver training/coaching, evaluations and subsequent planning, execution, and supervision of therapy programs to facilitate the development of fine motor, oral motor/feeding, sensory processing and adapted living skills for children with developmental disabilities. The Occupational Therapist II must demonstrate the ability to be able to solve challenging treatment problems in multiple environments with periodic supervision. The Occupational Therapist II must demonstrate clinical competence in a specialized area and participate in intradisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary training programs related to a specialized area. The Occupational Therapist II may supervise occupational therapy students. This position will contribute to program development, evaluation, and performance improvement.
The Occupational Therapist II will perform evaluation and subsequent planning, execution, and supervision of therapy programs for persons with neuromotor dysfunction. The Occupational Therapist will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for affiliating students, staff, and community agencies, clinical supervision of OT students, COTAs, and volunteers/aides, and maintain appropriate patient records. Develops and/or coordinates patient and staff education programs within area of specialty and assures continuity in clinical and patient education programs and demonstrates leadership and high level of expertise in their specialty area. Has the potential to participate in clinical research within specialty area.

The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to solve complex treatment problems in multiple environments with periodic supervision, demonstrate clinical competence in a specialized area, and participate in intra- and interdisciplinary training programs related to a specialized area. The Occupational Therapist II may supervise occupational therapy students and will contribute to program development, evaluation, and performance improvement.
The Music Therapist I provides mental health services to students with multiple disabilities in a full day classroom setting. The Music Therapist uses music as a medium to assist students in meeting defined educational goals and objectives. Music therapy is specially designed to address the behavioral, psycho-social, emotional, communicative, physiological, sensory-motor, and cognitive needs of students.

The Rehabilitation Aide/Transporter (Rehab Aide) will transfer and transport patients and provide patient care under direct supervision of a clinician within the policies and procedures of KKI and the departmental program and in accordance with laws and regulations of the state of Maryland. This professional will assist clinical staff in the provision of patient care programs and perform supportive tasks, including those serving the administrative, maintenance and operational needs of the program.
The Pediatric Neurologist will address the four major functions of the Institute: (1) patient care (2) staff teaching (3) research, and (4) administration, which will be guided by the goals and objectives of the of the Neurology and Developmental Medicine Department at Kennedy Krieger Institute. You will be responsible for providing care to children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental, musculoskeletal, and related disorders. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, providing care within the neurology and developmental medicine programs at any of our locations. It is anticipated this may include further developing our continuum of patient care services at Johns Hopkins University Hospital inpatient and outpatient settings.
Qualifications:
- Board-eligible/certified in Neurology.
- Experience in clinical neurophysiology preferred.
