The Recreational Activities Aide assists staff in the implementation of developmentally appropriate play activities and manage behavior. The position’s role is to work as part of a team to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and positive play environment for the patients in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program playrooms.
The Recreational Activities Staff II (Behavioral) plans and implements behaviorally oriented and developmentally appropriate activities which support the patient during the Feeding Program Admission. The Recreational Activities Staff II is responsible for providing observation, assessment, and programming for patients, and relevant caregivers training during the admission to the Feeding Program.
Overview
The Pediatric Rehabilitation/Feeding Unit provides 24-hour medical, nursing, respiratory and intensive therapy services.The Neurorehabilitation program treats patients ranging from infants to young adults with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, recovering from orthopedic surgery, and complex medical conditions.
