The Social Worker II provides clinical social work services to students and their families and develops Mental Health Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and implements those goals as outlined. The incumbent serves as a social work role and training model to graduate social work and counseling trainees and interdisciplinary team members.
Outpatient Spina Bifida Program - Offering $10,000 sign-on bonus.
We are interviewing Social Workers (LMSW), to work with pediatric and adult patients and families in our Spina Bifida Program. Patients receive initial evaluations and follow-up services from collaborating professionals. Social workers focus on psychosocial aspects of treatment of the whole patient. Social work services include assessment and interventions, coordination of care, resource finding and linkage, supporting the patient and family in understanding and adjusting to team recommendations and providing risk assessments/safety plans to patients that screen positive on a suicide screening. Patients and families seen in medical clinics may also be referred for counseling and mental health services.

The Social Worker II is a primary therapist to children and families who have been exposed to abuse, neglect and violence. The Social Worker II utilizes the information gained by the interdisciplinary evaluation services in the development and implementation of a treatment plan for the child and his/her families.
