This is a PART TIME position, working two OR three seven hour days. Hours being 7:45am-2:45pm.
The Classroom Assistant provides direct support in a classroom setting to students with developmental disabilities and/or emotional/behavioral challenges. Work in collaboration to implement behavioral, instructional, socio-emotional, daily living skills, and/or medical protocols under the over-sight of behavior specialists, classroom teacher/administrators, and related service providers.

Our curriculum focuses on building essential skills based on standards and curricula identified by the Maryland State Department of Education. Students receive ongoing instruction in reading/English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, health, music, fine arts and career development.
We are a nonpublic special education day program approved by the Maryland State Department of Education. We operate on an 11-month program schedule.
The Clinical Assistant will provide direct care and supervision of patients admitted to the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) Outpatient Clinic; implement written behavioral protocols; manage aggressive, self-injurious, and disruptive patient behavior; and collect data on patient-specific target behaviors.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm.
FULL TIME HOURS: 3pm-11:30pm, weekend shifts required Saturday AND Sunday (7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm)

The Clinical Assistants work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities admitted to the inpatient NBU for treatment of severe problem behavior.
The Neurobehavioral Unit primarily serves children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21; however, we periodically admit individuals over the age of 21. Patients have a variety of diagnoses, including: autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, intellectual disability, sleep disorders, feeding disorders, stereotypic movement disorder with self-injurious behavior, and various genetic, metabolic and chromosomal disorders. Patients are admitted for the assessment and treatment of severe behavioral problems.
Common types of behavioral problems treated on the NBU include:
- Self-injurious behavior (SIB)
- Aggression
- Destructive or disruptive behavior

The Clinical Director, CBDH will work to provide clinical, administrative, and academic leadership with a focus on advancing measurement-based, patient and family centered care and evidence-based psychotherapeutic practice within the Center for Developmental Behavioral Health and ensure the quality and safety of services delivered. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Center’s program directors and disciplinary leaders in Social Work, Psychology, and Nursing to build subspecialized interdisciplinary clinical teams, assign clinical cases, monitor clinical productivity, optimize clinician application of the electronic medical record, and ensure proper documentation and billing practices in keeping with expected ethical, regulatory, and practice standards. The Clinical Fellow – SLP will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e., speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders, maintain documentation relative to services offered, and participate in intra- and interdisciplinary training through the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program. This assignment provides temporary employment opportunities to coincide with and supplement the Clinical Fellowship Year training experience.

This Post-Master of Psychiatric Social Work (MSW) Fellowship is a two-year program that includes full-time employment with benefits while receiving training in evidence-based models of therapy, supervision/mentorship, and practice providing direct patient care. Fellows will receive focused training in multi-disciplinary evidence-based treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with mental health conditions.
Participation in the second year will be contingent upon the successful completion of the first-year learning contract.Fellows may be offered continued employment opportunities at the program's end. Candidates must have an LMSW license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners by July 1, 2024. Candidates can also apply while completing their advanced year of their MSW program from an accredited School of Social Work. Acceptance will be pending graduation and obtaining a license in the State of Maryland as an LMSW. Applicants may have up to three years of experience.

The Clinical Laboratory Technician II will perform a variety of laboratory procedures including diagnostic tests for the identification of patients with inherited metabolic disorders according to precise procedures in the laboratory manual, as well as experimental procedures for the purposes of research as directed by the laboratory director/assistant director.
The Clinical Services Coordinator II provides support directly related to patient services in assigned area. Majority of work product is directly related to the delivery of patient services and is focused on providing day-to-day physician and clinic support to meet the needs of the program, clinic and patients served. Work activities are focused on gathering, maintaining, coordinating and exchanging protected health information related to the ongoing care and treatment of patient served in the clinic, program or department.
