The Executive Assistant will assure/provide necessary administrative support to the Department Director and to the faculty and staff at the Broadway location. The Executive Assistant will monitor the dictation system for the Sr. Vice President of the Behavioral Psychology Department. This employee will also oversee the activities of the department administrative staff to assure faculty needs are being met.

The Programmer/Analyst 1 will provide technical assistance to the Behavioral Psychology Department for database development and maintenance; assist staff with their technology needs including programming for projects and troubleshooting hardware and software problems, etc. The Programmer/Analyst 1 will provide staff and parent training on technology and software implemented by the Department of Behavioral Psychology as it relates to patient treatment protocols and outcome assessments, and will monitor the effectiveness and implementation of new and ongoing technology resources within the department.
The Psychologist I will provide psychotherapy for children and adolescents served through the Psychiatric Mental Health Program in close coordination with The Tourette Syndrome Center of Excellence at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins Medicine (TCOE). The psychologist will implement Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) with patients referred through the TCOE as well as other referred patients. The psychologist will maintain a clinical caseload including individual and family psychotherapy, diagnostic assessments, parent training, and, counseling in child development and behavior management. The Psychologist assists parents or caregivers in advocating for their children’s needs in the community. Primary clinical responsibilities will be for individuals aged 5 years through young adulthood.
The Psychologist I will create, implement, and modify rehabilitation intervention plans for patients admitted to the Fairmount Rehabilitation Programs. The focus of interventions will be to improve adherence to treatment plans and cooperation/participation in all aspects of the daily rehabilitation program. As part of the inter-disciplinary rehabilitation team, the individual will consult with team members daily, be available to provide support during rehabilitation treatment sessions as needed, and summarize/aggregate data in verbal and/or written form in order to frequently update intervention plans. This position will also deliver direct individual and/or group intervention services to children and families. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with program special educators to design or modify recommendations for transition planning, and coordination and provision of crisis management as needed within the program.

The Department of Behavioral Psychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute is recruiting for a full time child psychologist position. Kennedy Krieger is a premier, internationally recognized nonprofit institution affiliated with Johns Hopkins. The Behavior Management Clinic is one of several outpatient specialty clinics based within Behavioral Psychology and serves a diverse pediatric population of children from birth through 12 years of age. Our team of clinical professionals are dedicated to improving the lives and outcomes of children and families struggling with a wide range of clinical problems. We are seeking a psychologist to join our expanding clinical services who will bring expertise in assessment and treatment of children with a variety of emotional and behavioral disorders.

The Psychologist – Pediatric Feeding Disorders will provide clinical services, clinical supervision and case management for outpatient cases as specified by the Director of the inpatient service, outpatient clinic, or Department Head. They will participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology Staff. They will also participate in programs of systematic research and interact within an interdisciplinary team.
Qualified candidates must be licensed or license eligibleas a Psychologist in the State of Maryland. Doctoral degree in psychology required. Experience in a multi-disciplinary setting dealing with typically developing and children with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not necessary.
Candidates must have completed a minimum of a one year clinical internship in psychology with specialization in pediatric behavior disorders or another related field (self-injury, disruptive behavior, anxiety, etc.). Experience in conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc. is preferred, but not necessary. Direct feeding therapy experience is desired but open to training qualified candidates.
