ONSITE POSITION:
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
The Nurse Navigator serves a designated population with responsibilities for assessment, planning of care, monitoring services delivered, and evaluating collected data
for outcome information. The incumbent will ensure the provision of high-quality, outcome-oriented care to individuals and their caregivers across Kennedy Krieger Institute programs and departments.
The Outpatient Phlebotomist/Nursing Technician (NT) is responsible for specimen collection including accurate specimen labeling, assuring specimens are delivered to their appropriate destinations, and obtaining laboratory results. The Outpatient Phlebotomist/NT provides direct patient care to the medical outpatient population under the direction of a licensed professional nurse. This position aides in maintaining a safe, organized, and neat environment.
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week working Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
The Nurse Tech/Phlebotomist will float between the Baltimore and Columbia locations.
This nurse will work for the Bone and Osteogenesis Imperfecta clinic. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 10:00am-6:30pm.
Some of the main responsibilities include:
1. Working with an interdisciplinary team
2. IV insertion/infusion monitoring
3. Preparing charts for review
4. Responding to patient phone calls, My Chart messages, lab result follow-ups
5. Escorting patients to DEXA
6. Navigating through EPIC and its communication systems
The Outpatient Nurse Coordinator provides direct patient care, patient/family education, organization, and coordination of the patient’s care through the health care continuum.
The Outpatient Nurse Coordinator participates as an interdisciplinary team member of the outpatient medical clinics.
The Concussion Clinic at Kennedy Krieger is seeking a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team of interdisciplinary providers in delivering evidence-based and family-centered care for youth aged 2-21 years old.
The nurse practitioner will receive relevant training for evaluation and management and will provide patient care in an interdisciplinary setting with a neuropsychologist.
The position is for three days/week including one day a week at the Institute's location in Columbia, MD. There is flexibility to discuss reduced hours during summer months.
Additional responsibilities will include review of intake information for new patients and assisting with patient follow-up needs between visits.
The School Nurse provides direct nursing care for each student. The School Nurse adheres to the standards set by the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and utilizes the nursing process in developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care which will help the students achieve and maintain their optimal level of wellness. The School Nurse involves the parent/guardian, therapist, teacher, and other appropriate staff as needed to promote the student’s level of wellness.
This nurse will work at the Powder Mill school, which provides an 11 month program. The position is full-time, 32 hours per week during the school year, working Monday through Thursday from 7:45am-1:45pm and Friday from 7:45am-3:45pm. During the summer, the nurse will work Monday through Thursday from 7:45am-3:15pm.
The School Nurse provides direct nursing care for each student. The School Nurse adheres to the standards set by the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and utilizes the nursing process in developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care which will help the students achieve and maintain their optimal level of wellness. The School Nurse involves the parent/guardian, therapist, teacher, and other appropriate staff as needed to promote the student’s level of wellness.
This nurse will work at the Southern Maryland school caring for children 6 years old- 21 years old with a wide range of diagnoses.
This position is full-time working Monday through Friday from 7:45am - 3:45pm during the school year
and Monday through Thursday from 7:45am - 3:15am during summer school.
