The Director of CARD Speech-Language Pathology Outpatient Clinics and Achievements is responsible for the operation of clinical, administrative, training and research, and program development activities within the Center for Autism & Related Disorders (CARD) Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Outpatient Clinics and Achievements programs. The incumbent will work with the CARD SLP managers to maintain responsibility for daily operations, implementing, coordinating and supervising the clinical service aspects of the department’s SLP Outpatient Clinics and Achievements programs across all locations. The incumbent will coordinate with the managers and senior SLP staff in establishing and implementing CARD SLP program policies, procedures, standards, and goals; consult and act as a liaison within CARD and externally. This position will collaborate and coordinate with the Speech-Language Pathology discipline director related to leveraging knowledge across the Institute. The incumbent will provide direct patient care by assessing and treating children with communication (i.e., speech/language) and oral motor disorders.
The Faculty (Associate Professor) - Psychologist II will provide neuropsychological assessments and, as needed, psychological consultation and intervention services to individuals served by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). The incumbent will participate in the training of predoctoral externs, doctoral interns, and postdoctoral residents; initiate and participate in innovative programs; design and conduct formal courses and workshops; and participate in research activities. Primary clinical responsibilities will be for individuals ages 1 year through young adult; although services may be provided to individuals from birth throughout the lifespan.
The Neuropsychologist I (Bilingual-Spanish), will provide neuropsychological assessments and, as needed, consultation and psychological treatment services to clients served by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). Primary clinical responsibilities will be for patients ages 2 years through young adult. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.

The Occupational Therapist I will perform evaluation and subsequent planning, execution, and supervision of therapy programs for persons with neuromotor dysfunction. The Occupational Therapist will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for affiliating students, staff, and community agencies, clinical
supervision of OT students, COTAs, and volunteers/aides, and maintain appropriate patient records. Other exciting details:
- OT is part of the interdisciplinary diagnostic team evaluations at CARD
- OT offers independent evaluations for children with Autism to address play development, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing and self-care ranging from 0-21 years of age
- OT provides life skills evaluations independently or as part of our transition team evaluations and has access to a full apartment set-up at our Ashland location. We also offer life skills groups run with an SLP and OT and life skills individual treatments
- We offer OT treatment programs for under 3yo and over 3yo; under 3 utilizes our Play With Me Program which is a parent training program focused on child-centered play, early motor development and sensory processing
- We offer social skills groups run with an SLP and OT
- We offer OT group therapy services as part of the CARD Achievements Program
- We are opening a new center in Columbia that will have both Achievements groups and clinic services. We will also have a full apartment set-up for life skills training at this location.
