    The Director of Speech-Language Pathology is responsible for the operation of clinical, administrative, training and research, and program development activities for the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSI™, formerly known as the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, or CARD) and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Outpatient Clinics and Achievements programs.  The incumbent will work with the CASSI SLP managers to maintain responsibility for daily operations, implementing, coordinating and supervising the clinical service aspects of the department’s SLP Outpatient Clinics and Achievements programs across all locations. The incumbent will coordinate with the managers and senior SLP staff in establishing and implementing CASSI™ SLP program policies, procedures, standards, and goals; consult and act as a liaison within CASSI™  and externally. This position will collaborate and coordinate with the Speech-Language Pathology discipline director related to leveraging knowledge across the Institute. The incumbent will provide direct patient care by assessing and treating children with communication (i.e., speech/language) and oral motor disorders.

The Speech Language Pathologist III will administer a component of the department and program functions, provide direct patient care, maintain documentation relative to services offered, and participate in intra-and interdisciplinary training programs. The Speech Language Pathologist III will develop models for service delivery and evaluation, plan and conduct research activities, review and interpret literature and disseminate those findings through formal and informal presentations, all with regard to their own area of documented specialization

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e., speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders, maintain documentation relative to services offered, participate in department and program functions, and collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to provide comprehensive care.   Prefer SLPs with Literacy Training. We are seeking a Maryland licensed, certified speech-language pathologist to provide direct and consultative services to students in our non-public school programs.  SLPs at Powder Mill Campus work with and support students with autism and other developmental disabilities in grades 2-8 working toward a high school diploma and students aged 7-21 who are seeking a certificate of completion. The ideal SLP candidate is collaborative, organized, curious and hardworking.  We are seeking SLPs who approach their work in an evidence-based, student-centered manner. $2500 Sign-On Bonus with Language Proficiency Differential   The Speech Language Pathologist II (Bilingual-Arabic) will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e. speech/language) and oral motor disorders: administering department and program functions; may supervise graduate students and Clinical Fellows; maintaining documentation relative to services offered; and participating in intra- and interdisciplinary training programs.This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Arabic with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.
