Overview

The Manager, Data Analytics provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise analytics and business intelligence. This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Human Resources data analytics, reporting, dashboards, and data-related solutions. This position manages analytics priorities, partners with HR leadership and departmental stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights, ensures data integrity and reporting consistency, and supports data-informed decision making across Human Resources and related business functions. The Manager, Data Analytics provides leadership for analytics initiatives, mentors team members and end users, and promotes best practices in data visualization, reporting automation, and analytics strategy.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and execution of data analytics, reporting, and dashboard strategies that support Human Resources operations, workforce planning, compliance, and data-driven decision making by HR leadership and organizational leaders.
2. Manage analytic priorities, project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and deliverables to ensure high-quality work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with business needs.
3. Partner collaboratively with department leaders, management, IT, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to define business questions, reporting requirements, metrics, and analytics solutions.
4. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve dashboards, scorecards, visual reports, recurring reports, ad hoc analyses, and executive-level data summaries.
5. Establish and promote standards for data definitions, reporting design, dashboard development, data governance, documentation, quality assurance, and analytics best practices.
6. Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that support operational improvement and strategic decision making.
7. Oversee data integrity activities, including validation, reconciliation, quality checks, issue identification, and resolution in partnership with Business Solutions, IT, and functional business owners.
8. Serve as a subject matter expert on data analytics approaches, reporting tools, visualization techniques, metrics development, and interpretation of data findings.
9. Lead data-related projects, including reporting automation, interface and data feed requirements, modifications to existing data processes, and implementation of new analytics tools or solutions.
10. Prepare and support audit, compliance, and control reporting needs, ensuring that reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and appropriately documented.
11. Provide guidance, training, coaching, and support to team members and end users to strengthen data literacy, reporting capabilities, and consistent use of analytics resources.
12. Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners and coordinate with IT Helpdesk or technical resources to resolve data, reporting, system access, and application issues as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field is required.

 

EXPERIENCE:
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, Workday reporting, Business Solutions analytics, or related data management functions is required.
• Two years of experience leading and mentoring analytics staff.
• Strong experience with Workday Reporting, Workday Prism Analytics, Excel and Power BI required.
• Prior experience leading analytics projects, managing reporting priorities, and supervising or mentoring staff is preferred.
• General experience in Human Resources or healthcare with a familiarity with Human Resources, payroll, financial and operational data sets is also preferred.

Minimum pay range

USD $72,770.26/Yr.

Maximum pay range

USD $129,818.62/Yr.
