The Art Therapist-II provides mental health services on a non-verbal and verbal basis to students and their families facilitating the use of art as a medium of expression, develops appropriate treatment goals and acts as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
· Must possess and maintain licensure at the LGPAT level through the MD Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
· Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training will be provided by the department. The employee must achieve certification at the “Practitioner” level according to the timeline established within the departmental policy.
EDUCATION:
· Master’s Degree in Art Therapy is required.
EXPERIENCE:
· Two years experience in art therapy with children is required.
· Experience with ED/LD/DD children is required.
