Kennedy Krieger Institute is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist I to provide direct care and parent training focused on communication, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders. This role supports our mission to unlock the potential of children with developmental disabilities and disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized therapy and parent training using engaging, family-centered techniques.
- Conduct functional assessments in speech/language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing across various settings.
- Collaborate with referral sources and community providers to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with ASHA, JCAHO, and CARF standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff development, and community outreach.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Maryland SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA).
- CPR certification.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year with AAC experience.
- Preferred:
- Experience with pediatric populations and developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with community service coordination.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Travel within Maryland may be required.
- Must be available to work outside standard hours as needed.
- Exposure to clinical environments and potential hazards.
- Use of computers and assistive technology required.
