The Research Assistant I will be responsible for maintenance of existing research databases, development of new databases, and data linking procedures. The
incumbent will design and maintain online data collection systems and databases for individual studies occurring within the Center for Neuropsychological and Psychological Assessment (CNaP), query databases to generate limited data sets for investigators, and assist with preliminary data analysis to support evidencebased clinical practice and clinical research projects. This position will additionally assist with manuscript preparation, grant support, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
1. Assist with a wide variety of research activities including study recruitment and data collection, study protocol implementation, organization of study activities and materials, and interaction with other members of the study team as well as participants and their families.
2. Organize, tabulate, and summarize data sets for statistical analysis by department clinicians and research faculty. Assist with preliminary data
3. Design, develop, and maintain effective online data collection systems using appropriate software (e.g., Qualtrics, SharePoint) for studies within CNaP,
including generating and distributing summary reports of responses.
4. Create databases and generate data forms in accordance with clinic needs and research study design, ensuring that databases and all data records are stored
according to HIPAA and IRB requirements.
5. Prepare and submit materials for IRB applications and renewals.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is required.
• Coursework in research methods and statistics is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience working in human subjects research preferred.
