Overview

The Supervisor, Patient Services (Feeding) will provide supervision of Recreational Activities Staff, administrative leadership and coordination to program projects and goals, and will also provide developmentally appropriate play activities for children between feeding therapy sessions; parent training in behavioral management strategies throughout a patient’s admission; and direct and train playroom staff in the care of patients in the Feeding Program. This individual will participate in strategic planning, development, and implementation of program objectives.

 

Responsibilities

1. Oversight of programming to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for the children during their admission, including the implementation of behavioral management techniques.
2. Supervision of Recreational Activities Staff and related positions for the Feeding Program; including but not limited to recruiting, completing performance appraisals, performing progressive discipline up to and including termination as needed, training, and assistance with decision-making and problem solving, goal setting and achievement, and professional development
3. Coordinate Program Evaluation, Treatment Integrity, and Performance Improvement projects.
4. Participate in ongoing staff development programs and coordinate development of competency-based training materials.
5. Direct and train other program staff in appropriate developmental activities for patients; participate in the development of appropriate behavioral treatments to be incorporated into supervised playroom activities.
6. Conduct parent training in the use of behavioral management techniques as needed.
7. Conduct appropriate developmental and behavioral assessments when needed.
8. Participate in interdisciplinary activities including planning meetings, peer review, inpatient rounds, discharge planning, case conferences, and consultations with the behavioral team.
9. Assist with the implementation of research activities as necessary to achieve program goals, including data collection and scoring, planning of daily activities and conduct of independent variables as specified.
10. Maintain program activities in the absence of Faculty supervisors.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be competent in the use of personal computers and the standard software applications.
• BCBA Certification required.

 

EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in psychology, behavior analysis, education or allied discipline is required.

 

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum three years experience working with the design and implementation of treatment programs is required. This experience should include training in applied behavior analysis with an emphasis on programming for the developmentally disabled population.
• Experience working with staff, children and/or families in a teaching, training, or behavior management capacity highly preferred.

Minimum pay range

USD $50,148.80/Yr.

Maximum pay range

USD $85,998.22/Yr.
