Overview

The Psychologist II will provide clinical services to children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and severe problem behavior. This position will also provide clinical supervision and case oversight for outpatient cases as specified by the Director of the Outpatient Program, Inpatient Service, or Department Head; participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff and trainees; and participate in programs of systematic research.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct clinical services, clinical supervision and case management of in/outpatients.
  2. Provide supportive clinical services to families of in/outpatients.
  3. Participate in research projects involving the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders.
  4. Participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff for specific programs.
  5. Provide supervision and training for Behavioral Psychology pre-doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows.
  6. Participate in administrative, clinical and training meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Maryland.

EDUCATION:

  • Doctoral degree in clinical, school, or counseling psychology required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two years of experience in a multi-disciplinary setting dealing with children with and without disabilities is required.  
  • Must have completed a minimum of a one-year clinical internship or fellowship in psychology with specialization in pediatric behavior disorders or another related field (self-injury, disruptive behavior, anxiety, etc.).
  • Experience in conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc. is preferred.

 

Minimum pay range

USD $70,511.00/Yr.

Maximum pay range

USD $125,800.00/Yr.
