The Intake Specialist II (Care Center) will perform front end clinical operation activities which include, but are not limited to, scheduling, charge entry and routine financial counseling activities. The incumbent will interact with client, families, clinicians and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner, while adhering to high standards of customer service and maintaining client confidentiality.

**$2500 Hiring incentive available 

1. Serve as liaison between clients’ families and clinicians for intake screening, referral and placement based on defined clinic criteria for Aliceanna, Fairmount, Patuxent and Odenton locations; serve as liaison between Behavioral Psychology and other departments.
2. Schedule/cancel/confirm all Initial Evaluations (IE). Document and verify on clinicians’ calendars.
3. Send IE confirmation letters and directions to families.
4. Process and forward insurance logs to Care Management Office (CMO) to open patient accounts and register IEs.
5. Input IE information into the SAM database from AS400. Verify accuracy of AS400 Integrated File System (IFS) forms.
6. Provide support services to families/clients and other KKI department personnel by answering/following-up on inquiries regarding the Care Center and KKI services.

• Must be proficient with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, etc.
• Working knowledge of computer-based registration, scheduling, charge entry systems and data bases.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AA degree in human services related field or healthcare administration highly desirable.

At least three years experience operating patient systems and providing excellent customer service is required.
