Overview

The Clinical Director, CBDH will work to provide clinical, administrative, and academic leadership with a focus on advancing measurement-based, patient and family centered care and evidence-based psychotherapeutic practice within the Center for Developmental Behavioral Health and ensure the quality and safety of services delivered. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Center’s program directors and disciplinary leaders in Social Work, Psychology, and Nursing to build subspecialized interdisciplinary clinical teams, assign clinical cases, monitor clinical productivity, optimize clinician application of the electronic medical record, and ensure proper documentation and billing practices in keeping with expected ethical, regulatory, and practice standards.  ID 9963

Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain licensure to practice by discipline-specific Board in Maryland.
  • Experience teaching and providing supervision on evidence-based psychotherapies.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, or relevant mental health specialty field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Completion of accredited predoctoral and post-doctoral training in field of practice.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with children and adolescents with mental and neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching and supervising evidence-based psychotherapy.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Clinical competence with patients across the developmental spectrum and lifespan.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement efforts, research methodology, and data management.
  • Specialized training and expertise in evidence based psychotherapeutic practice.
  • Experience in the delivery of measurement-based care and quality improvement efforts.
  • Background and experience consistent with a faculty appointment in the Johns Hopkins Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
