The experienced Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technician I completes EEG studies in the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and in the outpatient Sleep Electroencephalographic (EEG) Clinic. This position will perform Continuous Electroencephalographic (cEEG) monitoring; evaluations; and data analysis of patients with seizures. This staff member will edit and archive EEG video data; ensure proper documentation; provide technical assistance; follow protocols; review data; write reports; engage in training; and maintains databases, equipment, the technical environment, and laboratory inventory. The incumbent will also explain procedures to be performed in a manner that is age appropriate and understandable to patients and their family.
Qualified applicants must be enrolled in or have graduated from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Technologist (NDT) program. Qualified applicants must have one (1) year of clinical experience performing EEG technician duties required.
*This is a night shift position. $1500 hiring incentive available
QUALIFICATIONS: |
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
