Overview

The Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for research coordination duties for the Office of Health, Equity, and Inclusion (O-HEID) and the Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training.  Responsibilities will include data collection and management, coordination and production of videos for the Learning Management System, ensuring data integrity, coordination of data needs, development of data systems and processes, data input, provision of data in publishable formats, assisting with mentoring of Center for Diversity scholars, and provision of some administrative services for the Chief Diversity officer and Associate Director of the Office of Health, Equity, and Inclusion (O-HEID).

 

*This position will be located in Atlanta, GA 

Responsibilities

  1. Develop systems and operating procedures for input, organization, and maintenance of data for O-HEID and Center for Diversity programs and participants.
  2. Coordinate with public health leaders, researchers, mentors and Center for Diversity graduates to develop, organize, produce, and edit videos of maternal and child health as well as public health for publication to the Learning Management system.
  3. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data input to various databases.
  4. Develop processes and procedures for, monitor, and improve efficiency of data entry to various databases.
  5. Extract data, organize, and produce summaries of the findings in a user friendly manner to include graphs, tables, and written documentation.
  6. Prepare summaries of data projects for the Center for Diversity team.
  7. Collaborate with Co-Director, Database Manager, and Manger of Center for Diversity to prepare data for inclusion in documents such as grant proposals, academic manuscripts, and funding agencies reports.
  8. Assist with the provision of professional and research mentoring of Center for Diversity students. 
  9. Schedule meetings for the Chief Diversity Officer.
  10. Take minutes at meetings for O-HEID and Center for Diversity.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in scientific research, familiar with skills including basic statistical analyses, interpretation of data, and preparation for publication.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, Stata statistical software, database management, and manuscript preparation preferred.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Access and Word.

 

EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS required.
  • Master’s degree in Public Health preferred.
  • Coursework in database management, statistics, and academic publication formats preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have 2 years of database management experience.
