Overview

The Psychology Associate II will assist Psychologist in providing clinical services, supervision and case management for in/outpatient cases as specified by the Director of the inpatient service, outpatient clinic, or Department Head. This professional will collaborate with department staff/supervisors and other KKI departments as needed. The incumbent will participate in hiring, supervising and the evaluating of Behavioral Psychology staff as well as participate in programs of systematic research.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide clinical services to include developing and implementing treatment plans, monitor patient progress; maintain patients’ files through timely documentation.
  2. Provide clinical supervision and case management of in/outpatients.
  3. Provide supportive clinical services to families of in/outpatients.
  4. Participate in research projects involving the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders.
  5. Participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff for specific programs.
  6. Provide supervision and training for Behavioral Psychology staff.
  7. Participate in administrative, clinical and training meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be approved as a Psychology Associate by the Maryland Board of Psychologists.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree in psychology required.
  • Degree in applied behavior analysis is highly desirable.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a multi-disciplinary setting dealing with children with or without disabilities is required.
  • Two years experience providing behavior analysis assessment and treatments needed.
  • Must have experience in conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc.
