Overview

The Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland is searching for a talented Inpatient pediatric hospitalist (physician) for our growing neuro rehabilitation inpatient programs.  We are seeking a Pediatric Board eligible and/or certified physician to provide medical care to children and adolescents with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy (primarily post orthopedic surgery), epilepsy and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

The Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist will be a member of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary team of professionals that oversee the clinical, training and research segments of patient care.  Responsibilities for the Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist, in addition to direct patient care and teaching medical trainees, includes coordination with other disciplines at Kennedy Krieger Institute, including speech and language

pathologists, neuropsychologists, behavioral psychologists, child psychiatrists, neurogeneticists, genetic counselors, and social workers to ensure that each patient is comprehensively evaluated and received the most appropriate treatment. Trainees on the inpatient unit include pediatric and physiatry residents, as well as pediatric physiatry and neurodevelopmental disabilities fellows.  The Institutes academic environment also provides many opportunities for participation in clinical research.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will be eligible for faculty appointment at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as an Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, depending upon qualifications.
