Overview

the Psychology Associate II will administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests for both clinical and research services; oversee all departmental inventory and purchasing of test materials and books; and support other triage and preauthorization needs. The incumbent will comply with state regulations governing Psychology Associates. Principal responsibilities will be for ages, birth through young adult. The incumbent will assist the supervising Neuropsychologist and Clinical Director with administrative duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests, under appropriate supervision, for individuals referred for both clinical services and research projects.
  2. Provide training for department, Institute staff, and trainees in administration and scoring of psychological tests for clinical and research purposes as needed.
  3. Manage the inventory of psychological test materials for the Center for Autism & Related Disorders (CARD) Neuropsychology, for all clinical sites. Order and receive tests as needed on an ongoing basis.  
  4. Enter clinical and research data into study and departmental databases, spreadsheets, and Epic flowsheets.
  5. Prepare insurance pre-authorizations for patients as needed.
  6. Write behavioral observations and other sections of clinical reports, under appropriate supervision, as needed.
  7. Assist in the development of performance improvement and research initiatives.

Qualifications

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists approval to practice as “Registered Psychology Associate” required.

EDUCATION:

    • MA/MS in psychology from an accredited college or university required.
    • Courses in testing preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years’ clinical experience required.
  • Minimum of one year working with children with developmental disabilities OR supervised practicum experiences during the educational program for the Master’s degree.
