  • Overview

    the Administrative Coordinator I (Pediatric Consult/Rehab) will review, edit and document various administrative, clinical, and financial reporting activities for the direct behavioral care services on the inpatient Pediatric Neurorehabilitation Unit; ensure that inpatients on the unit are scheduled with appropriate direct care services from the Behavioral Rehabilitation Assistants; disseminate treatment protocols, data sheets, and instructions; provide completed reports and spreadsheets for data analysis of programs.

    Responsibilities

    1. Organize direct care staff resources to ensure provision of direct care services for all inpatients by scheduling weekly and daily work according to shift coverage/patient needs (includes facilitating scheduling via e-mail, telephone, and in-person with Behavioral Rehabilitation Assistants and Inpatient Consultation Coordinator).
    2. Ensure appropriate staffing for direct behavioral patient care and safety by implementing on-call/overtime procedures (i.e., contacting and coordinating float pool and agency staff) for emergent shifts as necessary. Organize, approve and submit payroll information for direct care staff including agency.
    3. Modify, distribute, and collect protocols, data sheets, and scheduling forms to assist in the organization of team schedules, daily patient coverage, and data collection in an ongoing manner.
    4. Provide completed data summaries and spreadsheets for data analysis, tracking staff utilization, assessing scheduling efficiency, and monitoring resource utilization.
    5. Provide administrative support to the Inpatient Coordinator, Supervisor of Patient Services, Licensed Psychologists, and department trainees.

    Qualifications

     

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma required
    • Associates Degree preferred.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 years of previous administrative support experience required
    • Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
    • Editing experience preferred
