  • Overview

    the Financial Analyst I will assist the Manager, Medical Program Operations by performing a variety of financial tasks in the areas of grants and budgets. The Financial Analyst I will conduct accounting and financial analyses and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians/researchers.

    Responsibilities

    1. Provide assistance to the Manager, Medical Program Operations by analyzing monthly budget expenditures to aid in the preparation and submission of the operational fiscal budgets for grants, special projects, multiple outpatient sub-clinics, day treatment programs, and inpatient services.
    2. Review expenditures, salary expenses, staff effort, and maintain databases for department expenditures and salary expenses by programs/clinics.
    3. Under the guidance of the Manager, Medical Program Operations, reconcile department databases with KKI monthly period reports, analyze discrepancies, prepare and process appropriate adjustments to insure accuracy of charged expenses.
    4. Reconcile KKI monthly salary and revenue reports to department databases, analyze discrepancies, prepare and process adjustments as needed.
    5. Monitor KKI reports to ensure that expenses are properly charged and credited, analyze discrepancies, and make recommendations for adjustments.
    6. Process departmental purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, and travel expenses as required.
    7. Assist Manager, Medical Program Operations with the development of department budgets; research historical finance data as needed; maintain knowledge of all department systems, reports, and processes.
    8. Assist Manager, Medical Program Operations with grant submissions and the maintenance of data for in-process grant related activities.
    9. Assist the Manager, Medical Program Operations and Directors with special projects as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree required.
    • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 or more years of experience in accounting, business administration/management, budgeting, grant accounting, or other relevant experience required.
    • 6 years of relevant experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
