  • Overview

    the Assistant Director, Clinical Operations (Site Clinical Director) is responsible for providing clinical services and assisting the Director, Clinical Operations at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) in a number of leadership activities including oversight of clinical and administrative functions at CARD’s Odenton location. Under the guidance of the Director, Clinical Operations this position develops policies and procedures and provides supervision to clinical and administrative staff. 

    Responsibilities

    1. Oversee the daily administrative operations of the Odenton avenue location.
    2. Oversee the delivery of patient care in the Odenton avenue location.
    3. Assist the Director, Clinical Operations in leadership activities including hiring, developing policies and procedures, monitoring grants, etc.
    4. Provide clinical evaluations and treatment; child/parent training; and complete the required documentation according to the Institute’s standard.
    5. Supervise the care center operations in the Odenton avenue location of CARD.
    6. Respond to concerns raised by patients, caregivers, and providers accessing services in the Odenton avenue CARD location.
    7. Assist the Director, Clinical Operations in overseeing the clinical research projects that are implemented in the Odenton avenue location of CARD.
    8. Responsible for coordinating regulatory activities including Joint Commission and Performance Evaluation/Performance Improvement reports.
    9. Promotes and participates in interdisciplinary training as an individual and/or as a department within and outside the Institute.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    A Master’s Degree in psychology, speech language pathology, or a health related field required. A doctorate is preferred.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Must have a minimum of two years of post-Master’s clinical experience in providing direct clinical services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families, preferably those with developmental disabilities or chronic health conditions or disorders of the brain.
    • Must have two years of supervisory experience.
