    the Financial Analyst II independently performs a variety of financial tasks in the areas of grants and budgets.  General activities include collecting, analyzing and preparing financial data, preparing grant applications/ paperwork, and maintaining grant files and fee for service data to support the Manager, Program Operations.  Positive interaction and communication with the multidisciplinary team of clinicians/ researchers is essential to the position.

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for coordinating finance related tasks to support the daily operations of the department. This includes coordinating the transfer of information between the department and Kennedy Krieger’s Finance Department.
    2. Initiate annual budget preparation.
    3. Prepare monthly analysis of budget to actual revenue and expenses for the department. Meet with Financial Manager and Program Directors monthly to review results and make recommendations.  Participate in quarterly meetings with, Operations Manager, Financial Manager and Directors to review quarterly results.
    4. Complete required grant application paperwork including sub-contract and consulting agreements when necessary. Set-up and maintain grant files and budgets for pending and awarded grants. 
    5. Monitor grants to ensure all contractual requirements are met, invoices/ reports are set and all award statements and payments are received. Make recommendations for proper adjustments to Operations Manager.  Prepare journal entries to close grants and reconcile accounts.
    6. Prepare monthly productivity report for Director of Clinical Services to monitor clinical productivity on fee for service business line. Establish productivity goals for employees.
    7. Responsible for processing departmental invoices and purchase orders and completing Personal Service Agreements.
    8. Manage monthly time and effort report, and verifies that salary allocations and effort are accurate.
    9. Assist the Operations Manager and Associate Director with special projects as needed

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Associate’s degree preferred

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Two (2) years of related experience preferred.
    • Experience managing grants and knowledge of the grants administration process preferred.
