the Clinical Services Coordinator I will serve as the primary contact and will complete front-end clinical operations, patient reception and administrative support for CARD Achievements. The incumbent will track various departmental data sets and maintain reports.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for greeting patients and families, information gathering, patient flow and coordination of all patient care services.
  2. Serve as the primary Care Center representative for the Achievements program; responsible for front-end clinical operations which include but are not limited to: scheduling, routine financial counseling activities, registration, cashiering, charge-entry, and the maintenance of patient/family compliance with Achievements policies and procedures.
  3. Track new and follow-up patient clinical services (i.e. Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Psychologist, etc.) using computer systems to ensure proper patient related scheduling.
  4. Maintain frequent communication with providers to ensure accuracy with patient services, benefits, billing, and scheduling.
  5. Maintain frequent communication with Care Management Operations (CMO) and Care Centers to ensure effective exchange of information relating to insurance benefits, authorizations, billing via reviewing agency reports, problem solving discrepancies, and preventatively adjusting related processes in the department to support patients and families maximizing the use of their benefits for services, and minimizing departmental write-offs.
  6. Responsible for the maintenance of applications and the waitlist for the Achievements program.
  7. Collaborate with the triage team and the Achievements program supervisors to facilitate the screening, and enrollment process.
  8. Provide input and assist providers/therapists, the director, and the supervisor with identifying on-going organization and process improvement opportunities for CARD’s systems.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in human services related field or healthcare administration desirable.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of two years of administrative support experience in a medical office or clinic setting related experience is required.
  • Experience with developmentally disabled patients is preferred.
